Modern Day Ice Bath

Whole Body Cryotherapy (also sometimes called Full Body Cryotherapy) exposes the body to ultra low temperatures (-200 F) for a brief period of time (less than 3.5 minutes). Cryotherapy at Reset is completely dry and our cryotherapy machine offers 100% breathable air. Cryotherapy stimulates cold receptors all over the body and triggers an internal systemic anti-inflammatory response.  This anti-inflammatory response has been demonstrated through an increase in anti-inflammatory cytokines and a decrease in the inflammatory cytokines.

Similar to an ice-bath, Whole Body Cryotherapy promotes athletic recovery and activates the parasympathetic nervous system (“rest and digest”). Unlike an ice-bath, Cryotherapy is completely dry, less time of cold exposure is needed to experience the benefits, and it is safe to workout or train immediately before or after the cryotherapy session.

HOW IT WORKS

  • For safety in the Cryotherapy chamber, we provide the necessary headwear, footwear, mask, and gloves to protect extremities.
  • We recommend wearing shorts and a tank top. For maximum skin exposure, sports bras for women and shirtless for men is recommended. Towel wraps are available for men and women for use during every session.
  • Choose a song from Spotify to enjoy with noise cancelling headphones during your Cryotherapy session or meditate in the silence.
  • A Reset team member will supervise you during all times that you are in the Cryotherapy chamber. You are not required to stay in the Cryotherapy chamber for the full duration of the session.
